Thank goodness for Raspberry Tea

This is what I looked like the night before I went into labor...YUCK!

I was miserable and ready to pop! That night was a Saturday and we had just had people over for the Husker football game. I told Lee he needed to go to the store and get me some raspberry tea. I heard it helps thin your cervix therefore helping to induce labor??? Well I tried it! At 10pm on Saturday September 17th I drank a cup of warm raspberry tea.

Sunday September 18th. My mom, sister and kids were all over to hang out for a bit. They left my house at 11am as I was not a happy camper. My right leg had swelled so big just full of fluid. I actually had my mom measure it LOL! I called the doctor and she said just relax and check my BP and if it's high to go in to the ER. After everyone left Lee helped me off the couch because walking was almost impossible. We got to the stairs and all of a sudden I look at Lee at 12:30pm and said "My water just broke" I stopped and had a very weird rush of fluid below and I knew it was true. Lee said "What? Are you sure" I said yes I'm serious it's my water. He helped me to the bathroom and everything just got crazy from there. I will spare you all the DISGUSTING details.

After I showered because I felt gross we got to the hospital. It was 1:30 and they were rushing everything! I was contracting FAST and HARD! They check me and I was at 2 cm dilated. The contractions were not even 20 seconds apart so they rushed me to the OR. I was scared. I thought Lee would be freaking but he wasn't I was. The anesthesiologist asked me what was wrong and I told him I didn't know, I think I was just overwhelmed. This was it, no more just the 2 of us, I was about to be a mom! A mom of twins non the less. I got the drugs relaxed and here they came.

Jacoby Lee Michael was born at 2:42pm via C-section

The next baby was very eager to come out so they had to wait a minute so they had separate birth times

Zoe Jean was born at 2:43pm via c-section.

I cried, and cried, and cried....my miracles we FINALLY here!
