Week 10~ish

I have been so tired latley I have not had the energy to even post! Here are the picture of the babies at 9.5

Here is 10.5 week baby bump

I am still hooked up to the Zofran pump...I have bruises all over but it is helping with the nausea so we are slowly weening me off. I hope I get it off. I keep hearing all these horror stories of women who have them on for MONTHS!

Cribs are in!

Lee has been on the ball looking for the best deals on cribs and without spending an arm and a leg he managed to get both cribs and our dresser/changing stand for $250! You can hardly find a single crib for that price. I love my bargain shopper! Here they are and here is a picture of the room with the dresser and rocker in it!

Dehydration spells....IV!

The babies are literally draining me! Over the weekend I had to have home health care come out and hook me up to an IV for dehydration. They also started me on a Zofran pump. This is the medication stop stop nausea. They actually give it to Chemotherapy patients. After trying the pill form they decided to bump me to the pump since the pills stopped working. It was nice to be in my own home, just sucked having an IV in. Lots of help from the hubby up and down the stairs to get to the restroom. I got to take the IV out on Sunday (by myself) but I am keeping the pump in (you can see the attached pictures) until the doctor says to stop it. Even then I will be weened off slowly. I will say this HURTS horrible though. I have to change the site everyday and it has now left red welt marks across my stomach. I will have the doctor look over this tomorrow. I seem to be a little dramatic when changing this tiny, tiny catheter but it sucks! For now this is really working and I will deal with the pain to keep my babies growing. I am only nauseas about 3 to 4 times a day compared to a 24 hour spell of sever nausea and vomiting. Funny fact...All I want to eat is TATER TOTS! Lee keeps saying "thats not dinner" well me and the babies think so.

Tomorrow is our first appointment with our OBGYN....wish us luck! The pictures below are from the IV and the Zofran pump.

So these pictures suck...I can replace them when I get to work, our home computer does not want to help me and I have a headache so I give up.

This support is overwhelming!

Since sharing my story and this blog with pretty much everyone I know, I started asking myself if it was the right thing to do. Is this really anyone else's business? This is such a personal experience and should this only be shared between a husband and his wife? My answer is and always will be...NO! This is life and until this entire experience I had no idea "real" people struggled with such heartache. You know that naive person who always says "That will never happen to me" well that is or was me. First of all who even thinks of infertility issues at my age? Isn't infertility for old women and men who's eggs and sperm are all dried up??? So rude to think that way but hey let's be honest, it's the first thing that crossed my mind. Since this blog I have had more people come to me and say "You know I had to go through treatments too" and the first thing I ask is "Who did you talk to" unfortunately the answer is usually the same "It just isn't something you were suppose to talk about" I could never imagine not having anyone to talk to. I am glad I have all my close friends and family to support me. For every single one of my friends and my entire family that was there for all my stories, complaints, tears, and excitment, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I never could have made it this far without your love and support!

For everyone starting to read this blog I cannot wait to share the rest of this journey with you all!

Twins and 7 weeks!

So did I mention...WE ARE HAVING TWINS! I could not believe it. At our first ultrasound she said "Well I see 2" and then we heard that first heartbeat and I lost it! We feel so blessed! So here starts my week to week updates. I promised family I would update this blog more to keep everyone updated weekly.

Here is week 7, The bloat of my belly is from the fertility medicine and my ovaries are HUGE! They measure way bigger than the babies right now. I have to stop all activities still including bowling with my Thursday night ladies because they are worried about getting an ovarian torsion (the ovary twist and cuts off circulation) My cysts are still there however they are not a concern for the doctors during the pregnancy. I lost 2 pounds and I don't want to eat anything because I can't stop throwing up. Good Times! here is my 7 week belly shot and info about the babies posted below.....

<------This is the baby at 7 weeks

How your baby's growing:
The big news this week: Hands and feet are emerging from developing arms and legs — although they look more like paddles at this point than the tiny, pudgy extremities you're daydreaming about holding and tickling. Technically, your baby is still considered an embryo and has something of a small tail, which is an extension of her tailbone. The tail will disappear within a few weeks, but that's the only thing getting smaller. Your baby has doubled in size since last week and now measures half an inch long, about the size of a blueberry.
If you could see inside your womb, you'd spot eyelid folds partially covering her peepers, which already have some color, as well as the tip of her nose and tiny veins beneath parchment-thin skin. Both hemispheres of your baby's brain are growing, and her liver is churning out red blood cells until her bone marrow forms and takes over this role. She also has an appendix and a pancreas, which will eventually produce the hormone insulin to aid in digestion. A loop in your baby's growing intestines is bulging into her umbilical cord, which now has distinct blood vessels to carry oxygen and nutrients to and from her tiny body.

How your life's changing:
Your uterus has doubled in size in the past five weeks, and eating may feel like a chore — or worse — thanks to morning sickness, which by now may be in full swing. (If you're feeling fine, don't worry — you're lucky!)
You may need to pee more than usual, too, thanks to your increasing blood volume and the extra fluid being processed through your kidneys. (By now, you already have about 10 percent more blood than you did before you were pregnant. And by the end of your pregnancy, you'll have 40 to 45 percent more blood running through your veins to meet the demands of your full-term baby.) As your uterus grows, pressure on your bladder will send you to the bathroom as well.
About half of the women who feel nauseated during the first trimester will find complete relief by about 14 weeks. For most of the rest, it'll take another month or so for the queasiness to ease up. It's unlikely, though, that the need to pee more than usual will ease up. In fact, research shows that both the frequency and volume of urine tends to increase over the course of pregnancy.
