Gotta Love The Baby Doctor!
We finally went in to see the Fertility Specialist! It was amazing! I think it has really helped Lee understand more of what's going on. All the other appointments I never asked Lee to come (there was really no reason) but he got to see his first ultrasound. They did an ultrasound of my ovaries and you should have seen all the cysts. It was CRAZY! They were completely covered. We talked about family history, money, multiples, support system and everything in between! She does not want to dive in too fast as she is worried about too many multiples. Because of my age, the PCOS, and my size she really does not want me to carry 4, 5, 6 babies....neither do we! She said we do need to be aware that twins are a true possibility. We both agreed that if the good lord wants to bless us with more than one baby than so be it. Everything happens for a reason right? Lee and I both had some lab work drawn and he has to do a sperm analysis which he was so nervous about until she talked to him ad now he is ready lol! I think since she is so laid back by saying things like "Oh no big deal, we get you pregnant no worry" She had a very strong accent but was very nice and informative that I think it helped Lee a lot. In his head he was picturing things like you must have sex at this time and this time and all these rules. Clearly not the case...YET!As soon as he gives his "Deposit" and they get my labs back then we are going to start on a new oral medication called Femara and add the injections to it. (Not sure which ones until they get my estrogen levels back) She wants to start slow and work our way to a more aggressive approach if needed. I'm am thrilled! Since this visit my husband has been so sweet and emotional. We were driving the other night and out of no where he was like "I really like the baby doctor" I told him that was great and I was so happy he was happy and comfortable. We are getting away for New Years and planned a trip to see his family. We just want to relax and not stress about this first round of treatment like I did with all the other ones. I think it will help and I cannot wait to get things started. I will keep you all posted!
